Talkeetna & Hatcher pass


Next morning at our B&B

On the way into the Talkeetna we sight some more moose. Another cow and two calves.

We took a cross country route to Hatcher Pass...

We weren't really high, but above the tree line and just under the clouds.

Summit lake.

There is an old gold mine that was closed down during WWII. The government deemed gold a nonessential metal for the war effort and so ordered it closed down.

Saturday morning we packed the van.

We left very little extra air space.
